The weather is starting to change and racing season is kicking into gear! Late winter and early spring is one of my favorite times to run races because the races line up with my training for the Cleveland Half Marathon in May. Here are some of my top races at the start of the year.
- Hermes Garage Sale 5K
This is a great race to shake out the cobwebs (in your legs and the Hermes storage room.)
- Chili Bowl Classic 5K
The Chili Bowl is known for its varying weather and its chili, of course. I also made a crazy (for me) PR in 2016.
- Irish Jig and Jog 5K
The Jig and Jog has been a part of my racing routine for 5 years and I couldn’t love it more. Through different race locations/courses and the challenge of weather, it’s a great dive into spring training and conditioning.
- Love-a-Stray Fur Fun 5K
Almost always beautiful April weather, puppies, and a scenic run. Could you ask for more?
- Cleveland 10 miler
This run is close to my heart because I’ve run it every year I’ve participated in the Cleveland Half Marathon. I always have a good time running this course and it’s a great mental and physical experience for me.
Happy spring and happy racing, folks!
