Another year, another amazing Keep Running 5K!

For those who don’t know, this is our very own, very casual, very fun 5K run and 1 mile walk, at Edgewater Park. We started this race two years ago when we had a hard time finding a race in January. Back then, we were nervous about whether or not this run “counted” toward our monthly 5K streak, but now it’s a cherished tradition!

There’s no doubt about it: we got a perfect day.

After some quick puppy play time, we all set out to run and walk our routes, meeting back at lower Edgewater where our handler, Ernest, waited with milk, socks, and cow tales.

We couldn’t forget the Sassys waiting for their annual KR5K photo at upper Edgewater, so we hopped in our cars and met them by the Cleveland sign.

Afterwards, we went to XYZ the Tavern for some brunch fun!

Last year we started taking monetary and other donations for the APL, using the money to buy items from the Cleveland APL’s Amazon Wishlist. This was a fun addition to our “race” – not only do we get to spend time with our friends doing something we love, we also get to donate items and help our other friends (all animals ever)! Last year we donated some old towels and ordered a heating pad and puppy training pads for the shelter. This year, we’re eyeing some fun treat dispensing toys and other goodies.

Thank you so much to everyone who came, and we can’t wait to see you again next year. Keep Running!
