Let The Pace Drop

Well there’s no way I can post this week without talking about the Cleveland Marathon! In part because, yes yes it’s a big deal, but also because…I haven’t run a step since then!

Last year after the half, I treated myself to a few weeks off from running to focus on cross training and strength and… relaxing. This year, it’s been almost two weeks, and I think I’m ready to get back out there. As soon as my pending move is over, I’m excited to hit the streets of Cleveland Heights. Not only is it warm and pretty out, and I’ll have a fun new neighborhood to run in, but I’m also looking forward to continuing to work on pace! I know I’ve been talking about it for a while, but it’s so great to see some real improvements. Luckily for me, the Cleveland Marathon results page keeps your historical results! Here are mine:

43 seconds! I know it’s still a bit on the slow side, but for now I’m happy to see improvement.

There’s so much more I want to talk about regarding training this summer, but for now I’ll have to sign off – the pending move becomes ever more impending by the second.

Wish me luck!
