Spring (March 20-June 19) is here and that means racing season is picking up its pace! There are plenty of fun races all over town during this time of year, so lace up and get registered…err maybe do that the other way around.
Here are some suggestions:
- Towpath Half Marathon
Sunday, April 10
Are you a half marathon hipster? If the Cleveland Marathon is too mainstream for you, then the Towpath Half (one of the “Towpath Trilogy”) might be the spring race you want.
- Hermes Cleveland 10 Miler
Saturday, April 23
Starting as a training run for the upcoming Cleveland Marathon, the 10-miler has become a beloved classic of its own – a favorite for K, and a new goal for R 🙂
- Love-A-Stray Fur Fun 5K
Sunday, April 24
Without a doubt, the fuzziest race we run in. If you’re anything like us, you’ll be too overwhelmed by cuteness to even care about your pace.
- Cleveland Marathon
Sunday, May 15
Well folks, this is the big one! Basically a city-wide holiday for Cleveland runners, the Cleveland Marathon caps off the spring season every year. Whether you’re running the 5K or the full 26.2, no other race will make you feel more in touch with the sport and the community.
- Running with a Mission
Saturday, June 18
Peace Racing? Metroparks Zoo? What could be a better combo than that! While we haven’t run this one yet, it’s at one of our favorite venues put on by some of our favorite people, so we’ll be sure to give it a go!
